​Brief Profile:
Hashmat Ali Khan, have been working as Professor in the Department of Law, AMU, Aligarh with a teaching experience of more than 19 years and Research Experience of more than 16 years. I have submitted Ph.D. in Personal Law on Relevance of Mahr in Contemporary Society: A social-Legal Study. My areas of research interest are Criminal Law, Family Law, Procedural Laws & Indian Contract etc. I have published around Thirty four Articles/Research Papers in various Journals of National/International repute like, Indian Journal of Law Review, Lucknow, Civil and Military Law Journal, New Delhi, Aligarh Law Journal, Aligarh, Quest for Justice etc. I have participated and presented numerous papers in National/ International Seminars/Conferences/Workshops. I have supervised Seventeen LL.M Dissertations. I am currently supervising Six Ph.D Scholars. I have been organising Various Camps/ Lectures/ Workshops relating to Legal Literacy and Mass Awareness Programme as Incharge in the remote areas of the District Aligarh since 2002 till date. Moreover I am also discharging the responsibility of Assistant Superintendent (Examination) in the Faculty of Law, AMU. I have also been In-charge of Legal Training Programmes conducted by Faculty to impart Legal Training to the students of BALLB at District, High Court and Supreme Court of India. I have been guiding the students for appearing in different Moot-Court competitions, Legal Debates and Extra Mural Lectures. I have also worked in administration of University in different capacities like Warden, Assistant Proctor, Deputy Proctor, Coordinator of Coaching & Guidance center and Associate MIC Gas Agencies of AMU.I have also been elected member of Aligarh Muslim University Teaching Association and member of highest Governing body AMU, Court Presently i am working as a Provost of B.R Ambedkar Hall.
